- 1998Shaleem Petroleum Company was established following a directive from his Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the local communities living in the oil field concession areas
- 1999Shaleem was the First Local Community Company (LCC) to purchase a Workover hoist in Oman
- 2000Shaleem was awarded a sub contract valued at US$8.5 million, to provide Well Maintenance Services to Petroleum Development Oman (PDO)
- 2005Shaleem went on to win against local and international competition in an online bid to secure a 5 year PDO Well Maintenance and Workover Services Contract valued at US $87.9 Million and requiring the progressive mobilisation of 4-Standard and 1-Heavy Workover hoist. This contract was extended by PDO for a further 2 years and ended in 2012
- 2006Shaleem was cited as an example of Best Practice when PDO received the Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum Best Business Management Award in recognition of their successful Local Community Company (LCC) Development strategyy
- 2010Shaleem was operating five Workover Hoists and employing over 250-Omani crew and expatriate support engineering sta. Alongside other industry leading companies Shaleem received an Omanisation Excellence Award from the Ministry of Manpower
- 2011Shaleem received a second Omanisation Excellence Award from the Ministry of Manpower
- 2012With a third Omanisation Excellence Award from the Ministry of Manpower in hand, Shaleem was also awarded a further 10-year PDO Workover and Well Maintenance Contract valued at over US$240 Million
- 2013All Shaleem hoists achieved Shell’s coveted Goal Zero safety performance standard
- 20142280-employees , operating 5-hoists (with a 6th unit ready for commissioning) with 100% Omani crews delivering service efficiency of 99.4%.
